The JOY children bring to the Holidays!

I don't have the best way of expressing myself, but here I go.  My sweet girls have discovered the JOY of Christmas.  Everyday they become more and more excited about Christmas.  The best part is, is that it does not take much to bring the biggest smile to their faces.  Jingle (our elf) moves around at verious times throughout the day, sometimes making their bed, brushing his teeth, eating a bowl of cereal or taking a shower.  They LOVE it.  Since growing up and moving out, Christmas has not been that magical anymore.  Bless my kids souls, because I feel that magic all over again.
The other night I was talking with Carolina about the story of Jesus birth.  We thought she wouldn't fully understand, but she did, and she loved it.  Never mind that she wanted me to talk about the cow and the sheep too, but none the less, it was a success.
I love that when the girls are fighting or not listening to me that I can threaten calling santa, or saying the elf is watching, to get them to behave.  I feel truly blessed to have them in my life.  Here are some pictures thus far from the holidays!

Carolina had no fear!  She told Santa she wants a Christmas outfit.  That is a skirt and sweater and a hat. (Great!  The one year Santa didn't get clothes!)

Amelia was a little terrified of Santa, but not enough to cry! Baby steps!

Carolina got this santa beard/ whistle at school, and man did she love it.

Michael is obsessed with the lights!

Thank you Pottery Barn kids!

I am alive!

So my computer is broken and blogs won't let you upload pictures from an iPhone or an ipad so basically I have not posted for that reason, but I guess words will do!
This last weekend we went to St George to celebrate Peters grandpas 90th birthday! It was great. All the men went golfing with Gramps while the girls went swimming with the kids! I love the warmth! I am over this cold rainy/ snowing crap! I want the sun. I soaked up every second of sun that I could. My body was seriously lacking some vitamin D, and now I feel great! We all went to bed super early last night and Peter and I didn't move all night until Carolina came bursting into our room at seven! It was dreamy. It is so nice to go on a trip and then come home and be so grateful for your home! We all were beaming when we saw or beds! It was great! We all had a blast and I am so grateful for my sweet girls and my amazing husband!! Sun I welcome you!

Life is full of surprises

I realized this week that I have no control of what can happen. Peter and I were talking about the baby and how well the pregnancy had been going. Wasn't throwing up anymore and when I got back from Europe we could find out the sex of the baby! Monday there was a little blood, and some cramping. Luckily I had my sixteen week appointment Tuesday morning.
I walk into the room and cute Peter is there waiting for me just in case. We tell the doctor about the previous night and she doesnt seem to concerned, which calms me down. She did a pelvic exam and all looked fine. She starts talking about getting ultrasound to find out the baby's sex. Then she gets her little ultra sound out and she looked concerned the baby was only measuring 12weeks. I knew instantly that the baby was gone. She sent us over to get the big time ultrasound and the same thing. The doctors were all saying sorry, and the entire room was spinning around me. She scheduled us for a DNC on Friday, and sent us on our way. The next day my body decided it didn't want to wait for Friday I started the labor process. I dropped the kids off at my sweet sister Savannas house and went to the hospital. It was a fast process. I got into the hospital, into the gown, and the then the iv was put into my hand. The nurse sends peter and I up to meet with the anesthesiologist to ask questions the RN comes and says they are ready. They put something in m iv to take the edge off I said goodbye to Peter and then the next thing I know I am in the recovery room. It was fast and painless. Cute Peter was there waiting for me and sat by my side feeding me ice chips and cranberry sprite. He is an amazing guy.
I had no idea that in just two days I was not going to be pregnant anymore. The hardest was that I was really hoping to have the DNC and then move on. Amazingly it just doesn't work that way. I am fine mostly throughout the day but then there are moments of total breakdown. The tears flow like crazy and I cant believe that this happened to me. I was getting all the ideas of what I would do to the babies room if it were a boy and the blanket I'd make, the same if it was a girl what colors to put in the blanket. But I have to turn that part of my brain off. I feel complete sorrow for the loss and am terrified that we can try again in four weeks! What if it happens again, what if I am not strong as I was this time. I really hope that this was a one time thing.
I know my Heavenly Father is watching over me and I know that this cute baby has work to do. I love my baby and I can't wait till we can all be a family together again. I am so thankful for my sweet girls that I know were aware of the situation and saddened by the loss of a sibling. They bring so much joy in my life and I am so glad that they could be such great little buddies! Thank you Peter for being the love of my life and knowing what to say and do to show your love for me and the girls! I love you with all of my heart!
Thank you Savanna for helping me with my girls, cleaning my house and for being there for me when I needed to cry and get a hug. You are the best. Thank you to Marisa, Alecia, Kara, McSean, Christian, mom and dad and my in-laws for the calls, flowers prayers and support! I am so blessed to have you all in my life! Thank you

Friends

All I can say is that I love that my girls are so close in age! They are cute cute little buddies. Amelia goes everywhere Carolina does and every time Amelia wakes up, Carolina is the first one in the room, yelling "GOOD MORNING" with her arms thrown up in the air! Cute girls! I love being a mom!My sweet girls! We went down in the basement and found both girls in the cupboards playing! It was so funny!

Halloween!

It was a very fun Halloween! We woke up Saturday morning ate breakfast and carved the pumpkins! It was fun. I of course thought I would be smart and do a stencil carving. Freak I did a spider and it was the most intricate and hard thing ever. Oh well. We went Friday afternoon to Peters office and went trick or treating to all the cubicles. It was so funny, Carolina was not in the mood. We went and got Little Caesars pizza for dinner and Peter and Carolina went off Trick or Treating around the street. It was freezing cold and raining, but cute Peter braved the weather and took Carolina. She had so much fun and when she go home she laid straight on the floor in front of the fireplace. When kids would come she would open the door and take some of our candy when the kids would. It was awesome. Of course before Carolina and Peter went Trick or Treating Amelia was sound asleep for the night! Bless her soul! Later that night Peter Carolina and I went over to our neighbors the Neeley's and watched the Utah football game! Carolina's favorite friend KJ lives there and she had the time of her life. It is really sweet when your kids start making friends! Carolina didn't go to bed until 9:45pm. We paid for that on Sunday.
All and all it was a great weekend and I love my sweet little family.

Cute Amelia was soooo cute as a flower! You could tell she felt cool! Sweet girl.

Peter took Carolina Trick or Treating to a couple of houses in the pouring rain! She loved it tough.
She got home and laid on the carpet right in front of the fireplace.
She was loving life!
Peter dressed up as Uncle Cormy- freaking hilarious!
We had to dress incognito for the Mall Brawl for the young men and young women activity, I didn't realize how skanky I looked until I saw this picture. But we were not found! What up!!I carved a spider in my pumpkin. It was awesome, but I didn't get a picture. Oh well.
Carolina's version of carving was stabbing the pumpkin all over with the picks and knives. It was so funny. Cute girl!

The Pumpkin Patch

Last year Peter and I decided to start the tradition of going to a pumpkin patch and picking out our own pumpkins! We thought this was way fun last year, Carolina was not all that interested, but we still decided to do it again this year! It was a blast! Carolina was totally into it, going from pumpkin to pumpkin searching for perfect pumpkin, it was great! Even Amelia was acting very interested in it all. It was great.

Peter and I really want to have family traditions that will be great memories for our kids and for us. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing husband and such adorable kids to go out and do these fun activities with. I love my family.

Happy Halloween!

They were too cute to not take their picture!

Cute Amelia felt so big time posing on these pumpkins!

Carolina was seriously searching for her perfect pumpkin!

Amelia was very fascinated by the pumpkins!

Cute Carolina was showing Peter which pumpkin he should get!

They both were amazed by the corn stalk. So Cute!
My cute little family.
